Bannerghatta Nature Camp has eight luxurious, tented cottages, twin-bedded Swiss-tents with attached bathrooms. The Camp also has two stilted log-huts made from locally available logs and material. With attached baths, these huts are well appointed and comfortable in every way. The Camp also has a tidy dormitory for the economy traveler.

The Camp has a fully equipped conference hall, with its own audio-visual equipments and multimedia projector. The hall can accommodate about 30 people, in theater style seating. The Camp also has open-to-sides, dining area called the Gol Ghar, a signature design component of Jungle Lodges and Resorts. The Gol Ghar gives the guest an unforgettable experience of the surrounding environment.

Wild elephants can be regularly spotted in the dense forests of Bhannerghatta. Other mammals to be sighted here are Bonnet Macaque, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Slow Loris, Wild Boar, Porcupine, Three Striped Palm Squirrel and Jackal. A bird-watchers delight, this park abounds with about 200 species of birds like the Honey Buzzard, Great Horned Owl, Spotted Owlet, Purple Sunbird, Loten’s Sunbird, Small Green Barbet, Paradise, Ticket’s Blue and Fantail Flycatchers.

Perhaps nowhere else in India can one see so much wildlife. Sighting of elephants, sambar, spotted deer, gaur, wild boar, sloth bear, wild dogs, etc., are almost assured, while if one is lucky, a tiger or a panther too, could be sighted. Our clients are permitted to shoot, not with guns but with camera and video. The sighting of wildlife in their eco-system creates awareness and respect among the humans towards other life forms.

The main attraction of the Camp is the drives into the Bhannerghatta National Park. Guest at the Camp also gets proficiently entry into the extremely popular ‘Grand Safari’ in special JLR safari vans. The Grand Safari includes a visit to the Lion, Tiger and the Bear encloses.
You can also take a guided nature trek into the herbivore area of the Park. Bannerghatta is an ideal location for children and budding naturalists to explore the many secrets on Nature. Besides wildlife, there is a spectacular viewpoint and several important landmarks to visit too.

Bannerghatta’s green environs has salubrious climate year round. However, it is during the rainy season (mid-June to August) that the park is at its greenest. The temperature during the rest of the year ranges between a pleasant 15c to 28c.
